DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1
Pick-up from Quito Airport or any hotel in Quito area.
Our adventure begins just 30 minutes from the city where we will pass through beautiful landscapes of the high Andean forest, then descend to reach the cloud forest and finally arrive at our lodge in the Nanegal La Delicia tropical forest, home to several endemic species of this ecosystem.

Welcome to Butterfly And Bird Julio Tours Eco-Lodge in la Delicia community in the Nanegal tropical forest. In this little piece of the rainforest, you can expect a high variety of butterfly species in their natural habitat, which we will find along our community trail.
Target Species: Savin Ticlear, Broad-tipped Clearwing, Inca Metalmark, Neglected Sarota, Diaethria clymena, Cithaerias aurorina and with have luck, the impressive Arca Anterus.

After lunch, we’ll continue our butterfly shoting adventure from the comfort of the restaurant and flower area, observation The hummingbird feeders and surrounding trees will provide excellent opportunities to observe a wide variety of bird species also.
Others species butterfly: Callimormus radiola elegans, Phocides metrodorus, White-spotted prepona, Pagyris cymothoe sylvella and Humingbirds species: Green Thorntail, Purple-crowned Fairy, the Chocó-endemic White-whiskered Hermit, Crowned Woodnymph, Green-crowned Brilliant. target Birds: Choco Tyrannulet, Swallow Tanager, Guayaquil Woodpecke, Black-cheeked Woodpecker, Silver-throated Tanager, Choco Toucan, Yellow-throated Toucan, Collared Aracari.

DAY 2
Birding at Butterfly and Bird Julio Tour Ecolodge
We wake up in the heart of the famous tropical forest, a charming valley that boasts the greatest number of hummingbird species. We start the day observing birds at our feeders. We will have the opportunity to see an incredible number of bird species before breakfast without having to walk far. The lodge has bird feeders, and the fruit trees surrounding the breakfast room are home to multicolored bird species like the: Golden Tanager, Lemoun rumped tanager, Red-headed barbet, Rufous Motmot and many more.

After a very birdy morning, we have breakfast, and for the rest of the day, we will explore one of trails around the nanegal village in the cloud forest on the private reserve.
Around 9: 00am – 15:00
Along this part of the trail, we have small streams that are a favorite spot for butterflies. There are countless species here, some of which are endemic. We’ll spend the morning and afternoon here, having a smoll box lunch since the sunny weather is best for butterflies. We’ll return for lunch. After lunch, Before our return to Quito, we will have a break and then continue our journey
4:00 PM transfer to Quito airport or to any hotel in Quito area. Arriving to most hotels in Quito at approx. 6:00PM
