DETAILED ITINERARY
6:30 AM
Pick‑up from Quito Airport or any hotel in the Quito area.
Our adventure begins about 30 minutes from the city, where we’ll pass through beautiful high Andean forest landscapes. Then we descend to reach the cloud forest and finally arrive at our lodge in the Nanegal La Delicia tropical forest, home to a wide variety of endemic species.

Butterfly Watching & Photography
Welcome to Butterfly and Bird Julio Tours Eco‑Lodge in the La Delicia community in the Nanegal tropical forest. In this pristine rainforest habitat, you can expect to see and photograph a high diversity of butterfly species along the community trail.

With luck, the impressive Arca anterus butterfly.

Our open‑air restaurant provides a unique dining experience, allowing you to enjoy lunch among hummingbird feeders with spectacular forest views.

Lunch & Bird Photography
After lunch, we’ll continue our butterfly photography adventure in the restaurant garden and surrounding flower areas. The hummingbird feeders and nearby trees also offer excellent opportunities to observe and photograph many bird species.
